Telephone negotiation skills

Having the ability to effectively negotiate via the telephone is an essential skill that every Lawyer requires.  The opportunity to negotiate happens numerous times throughout the day whether it’s with other Lawyers, clients, or other legislative bodies. This opportunity however, is far too often overlooked, or at worst ignored. Used effectively, telephone negotiation can be one of the most invaluable tools to ensure you get the outcome you want, in a far shorter space of time and negates the complex, protracted implications of long winded face to face negotiation meetings, where the desired outcome can take days if not weeks to reach.
